I have a problem. My life is kind of chaotic right now and to find some peace, I decided to try band meditate. I tried for a little while, but every time I try, I get this really weird headache thing. It feels like my head is being compressed. So I was wondering if anyone could offer some types or techniques of meditation.

Are you talking about the electronic band that you wear to help guide you? If so, I watched a couple videos about it a while back, and people said that at first it could be more stressful than helpful in the beginning.
When I meditate I have a couple of different approaches to doing so. One of my methods, I lay flat on my back with my eyes closed, playing some relaxing music, which can be anything in regards to your music taste, and I raise my arms above my head since this expands the diaphragm so it lets more air into your lungs. Then I simply start breathing in and out, counting my breaths to keep my thoughts from wandering off, and when I feel ready, I imagine a light in my chest expanding and filling me up, expelling the darkness (any negativity in my life), and in it's place leaving a warmth, comfort and joy.
Another method I use, I get in the same position as before, and start breathing in and out, and then instead of pushing all of my problems and worries away, instead I focus on them one by one, thinking through it, sometimes even talking out loud even. Talking about my issues, following that train of thought. I may get angry, I may be upset, but I just continue on with this until I have nothing left to say, and then I picture as each thought is discussed, it's released from my mind, from my body, and at the end I talk about how there are good things in my life, as well. This can be as simple as a pet, a favorite drink you finally had, a good conversation with a friend. I always end on the positive, because I then latch onto that good feeling, focusing on it, and picture it radiating through me, filling me up inside, because the main thing is that no matter what you are going through, there's going to be at least one thing that makes you smile.
Another method I used often when I first started meditating and couldn't concentrate, or focus, I would go on YouTube and look for guided meditation videos on there. I can't remember any videos off the top of my head, but you may find a method that works best for you.
There are so many methods of meditation out there, and there is no right or wrong way to do it. What may work for someone may not on somebody else, and that comes down to simply that everybody's mind and body works a little differently.
I hope my first two methods are helpful, since I had to kind of create my own method because I used to read up on so many methods and nothing was working for me, and I was getting frustrated, but I persevered and found a couple ways that work for me. And the YouTube option is a great one also, because even to this day I still go on their for meditation methods.
It's this electronic device that reads your brain waves and hooks up to your phone so you can track your progress, and if your thoughts wander it reads the change in waves and makes a noise to tell you.
And from that I'm assuming you meant candle meditation? And to that I can say your eyes could be sensitive to the brightness of the flame. I have this issue. I primarily do candle magic, but I seldom use them for meditation since I get migraines extremely easily and light triggers it, and if I look at a bright light my head starts hurting or my eyes get stressed which can also cause a headache.
I love the guided meditations on YouTube. There are so many of them. They are really good for me because my mind tends to wander. They have really helped me by giving my mind something to focus on. so it doesn't go astray.
Everyone's mind tends to wander. It is the tendency of the mind; the brain demands nearly constant stimulation, of which meditation causes a deprivation. Even those well-practiced with meditation need to bring their attentions back to center.
