I've been obsessed with learning about demons for a long time, I've spoken to what I believe to be demons. My spiritual guide/my protector is a demon (he claims/says). I've had a dream with Lucifer. I want to be friends with demons. I don't believe all demons are bad, being I believe I've communicated with a few. I'm DRAWN to the oujia board, I want to play it all the time.
I want to know why I'm so drawn to the 'darker' energies of the spiritual realm. I'm going to speak about my childhood, to see if that'll help.
I was born to drug addicted parents, and grew up in a drug house. My mom got clean to get her children, but my dad abandoned us. He chose to stay addicted over taking care of us. My mom married a mentally abusive man, who one time threw her from their room to the hall way. My best friend killed himself when I was 15 (he was 16). I stalked by someone I once called a friend online. I grew up with most my friends (98%) online. I was bullied when I was going to church (youth group). My youth group mates would bully my sister and I, they'd call us names and physically attack us (one girl tried to drown my cousin, when we went to a pond). The Youth Group pastor didn't do anything and told my sister, my cousins and I to get over it.
Most this happened when I was going to church. I stopped going to church a year after my best friend killed himself. The reason why I kept going is because twice or three times a week we'd feed the homeless and I loved that. But I had enough emotional damage and couldn't take the bullying anymore. Also when I quit church I was discovering my wiccan path.
I don't know if my effed up life is the reason for my obsession, or what. I just want to know why I'm so obsessed. I don't mind the obsession; it's an addiction, I would say (it does run in my family).
Hey, so I used to have the same obsession as you, but the ouija or any kind of this "games" really get us and we star to play every time we can't, so I suggest you to stop or be more causios when "playing" cause the game really get us. And the demons you have to be a lot more careful, cause they can do you some bad things with you don't do what they want or dessagre in something, I used to have a demon with me that I'd let enter my body and talk and interact for me when I wasn't felling tô do it, and then she just let me and idk what happens Till this day but my life for sure get better after it

It is in human nature to be drawn towards the shadow or daemon part of the soul and what lurks inside the subconsciousmind. Like a moth being obsession other a light source in the dark. In my view, good and evil are just states of opinions of the mind but addiction can become dirty habits where you can't control oneselfand that could be lead to be a reckless path.

An obsession in any form can become problematic. Now I'm speaking from the DSM point of view or in simple terms a more psychological view point. Regardless of your type of obsession (being demons) liking something or being interested in something that others may perceive as taboo isn't a bad thing. Some people like horror movies, demons, vampires, all a manner of "darker" perspectives and we, as a society, feel embarrassed or ashamed of our likes because the general public has placed labels on such things.
There is nothing wrong with liking demons or wanting to learn more, or explore more about them. Same with the oujia board. Its at the point where your obsession starts to interfere with your life that it can cause problems. If you see that thinking about the board and wanting to play/use it starts to have you skipping work, missing out on gathering with friends/family, or taking over time that you should be spending elsewhere, then it becomes a problem. Maintaining a healthy relationship with something you enjoy and love is key.
I don't personally feel that your background or upbringing has inadvertently lead you to this obsession. It has given you life experiences that are unique and empowering that you have mentally managed all of what you have been through. I, for example, had a very typical childhood with no trauma or hardship. I have published fictional books and many of them revolve around demons, vampires and wolves. I enjoy the mystery around them and like writing about them, but I can't blame any part of my life for why I like them. I just do. So there is nothing wrong with you liking demons and wanting to explore more about them. Hope this gives you some insight and comfort.
It doesn't interfere with my daily life. Learning about them just makes me so happy. I get the same feeling I get with learning as I do when I think having a successful life, with YouTube, and having a lovely family. Speaking with demons make me happy, I have my dog and my boyfriend on the daily, so when the demons I have contact with want to talk it's like talking to an old high school friend.
I am too interested in demons. But I never had the resources to communicate with them properly. Sorry if this is short but I just want to say that I share the same obsessions.
Demons are not "evil" or "good". They just are. They can be great protectors, guides, teachers, what have you. But just like any other spirits, not all are going to be beneficial to you.
I would be wary with working with unfamiliar spirits. Be careful. Be confident in your banishing and cleansing skills before you begin, just in case something were to go wrong.
Working with Demons is amazing and they can change your Life for the better, just remember, when working with them, come in respect and with an open mind.
Most Demons are just Demonized versions of Ancient Gods so keep that in mind.

@Syn, if I sense ill intent I won't work with a spirit. I won't speak to it and my spiritual guide actually makes it leave. Yes, he a demon, and I know I can trust him.
