I was wondering what other people thought what my dream could mean? About 2 years ago, my grandma passed away the night before my Birthday, and we were very close. I mean, she was like my second mom. We recently had a new addition to the family. My baby cousin was born. She would've been her 5th grandkid.
In my dream, I would meet her inbetween the physical world and spirit world. When we met it would only be for a short time. Time as we knew it would stop, and each time I saw her I would fill her in on everything going on in real life, mentioning my baby cousin, that I was soon starting my senior year of high school, ect. On my last visit with her, she would tell me "I have to go, I'm in pain." She said it as if it physically hurt her to make the efforts to speak to me and see me. I wrapped my arms around her and sobbed, begging her not to go. Of course, she did.
I'm not sure if this was her spirit trying to convey a message to me through my dreams, or if it was just my brain coping with the loss of someone close and them not being there for all these important things in my life. Your input is valued, thanks!

Whenever we pass, I have a firm belief that we can go to our desired afterlife. However, being free from this physical world can give us a potential possibility of what the rest of the universe shows beyond this plane of existence. So, I could go to Helhiem(Because what are the chances I'd actually die in battle in this modern age?) and just be like,"It's been fun guys, but I'm gonna go reincarnate now." And potentially come back worshipping Hindu gods and following the Hindu afterlife due to my connection with Ganesha. To this, I know a lot of people will say that there are certain things that can keep you from doing so. My response?
I am not a traditionalist by any means . Cultures can change at a rapid pace. I only depend on my experiences and the gods I work with and what they teach me to lead me down this path and help me life my life and in what may happen accordingly.

And with this, it sounds less like a dream and more like a session of communication between you and your grandmother. Gods carry her to peace and tranquility.
But there may be something holding her back from effectively communicating with you. I'd need more context to the dream to see if I have a possibility of debunking it. What I'd recommend in this situation is to start honoring her in your spiritual life. In my path, ancestry work is very common. I however, don't partake. But this is a good opportunity for you to begin that relationship with your grandmother. You can honor her by setting up a special place for her.An altar of sorts, if you will. Pictures, her clothing, jewelry, her favorite music, food, and other general interests, you could put on the altar and help honor her or remember her. For effectively communicating outside of all that as well as your dreams, I highly advise looking into divination. It's a very useful tool to help connect you with your grandmother. Different forms of divination include tarot, pendulum, runes, cartomancy, and many more. There are even certain practices to help you strengthen that sort of communication if divination isn't your route. There's Astral Protection, Journeying, and Pathwalking. All three practices essentially fall into the same category, however there are different ways to prepare for each, With Pathwalking and journeying, it's more about having a specific place in mind when you are trying to take your conscious outside of you body. With astral projection, it's more of shooting yourself into space, from my point of view. I'm more well versed in Pathwalking and journeying. However, it comes from a specific Norse Pagan view. Meaning that there are certain deities to call on and staves and runes to work with. Not to mention the amount of meditational work to prepare for the actual journeying. But that also falls into Astral projection as well. All three practices do require meditational work and all three are very difficult to achieve unless you have a natural aptitude for that sort of thing. Crystals can enhance the experience. Citrine for cleansing, Tigers eye for protection and Amethyst and Labradorite to strengthen the connection. This can be used for channeling and shadowing as well. This is more of calling on the desired spirit or deity to communicate in the mind rather than shoot your conscious out of your body and into the unknown.
