Let's talk about working with the Gods in this thread. How do you do it? What do you consider the most important in working with the Gods? Do you do everything according to the prepared scheme or do you listen to intuition, improvise?
Perhaps someone will want to talk about his first experience?
To begin with, I met already ready-made schemes .. Schemes - where was the instruction how to lead to this or that deity, what exactly to say, what exactly to do .. I think that this is not quite right. As it is mechanical .. machine .. airless that le. After all, you must understand what you are saying, speak sincerely and believe in it. "And do not just repeat the words of others, not even thinking about the meaning of these words.
I think it's important to mentally tune in to the deity and convey the request or gratitude in your own words - with awareness, faith and understanding. Sometimes, without even a word, it's possible to convey your request or gratitude mentally (without forgetting about the offerings of course, as in the Edda it says: "the gift is waiting for an answer").
Maybe rituals are sometimes "conventional", or in general - restrictions, conventions. After all - it's easier to live by ready-made rituals and rules - to think and choose yourself is not necessary, to bear responsibility ... again, it looks like ritual as "real magic".
I also deducted that at the stake (burning) the "offerings" transmit better. "This is a sign of respect, and the Gods love him." It is believed that the offerings, burning in the fire, along with the smoke go up (to the Gods).
Hi, i work with diffreant gods/goddesses depending on the spell i am casting.in spells to do with protection i work with goddess kali or the god horus,in spells to do with curses i invoke the god anubis or osiris and so on...but the main GODDESS that i feel myself closely related or connected to is isis,i consider her as my mother..
Please how do you go about it? I really want to learn how to work with the gods n goddess, though am new to this spell casting of a thing but passionate about it.
Me personally i adored jellwery and decorate my alar with stuff of the god I'm trying to honour ussaly Loki I try to follow there philosophy's and way of think closely as well.
As for pray I focuses on my throat steady my mind and breath not just through air but through souls so I can feel the words power course trough my throat and out my mouth as it thrown into the universe to be realised and to talk to the gods directly by name
Learn the myths. Read the sagas and eddas. The only way to start is to jump in head first, and become one with it. There are no spiritual techniques or exercises except Utïseta ( sitting out )
