Feathers of Droom

Or feathers of foresight ... Hello all, this is a little of a sad topic for myself and a curious one, here's some information. Recently a mother hen of mine had a couple of hatching chickens. Now when these little ones were born, they were born in the wrong time of year. Instead of Spring, they were winter babies.

You see for the title, we have sadly lost a couple. From one unfortunately event after another and now only two left standing, ( which I have become highly protective of.) But I have begun to notice something, it started on the day they were born and I thought nothing of it, but it seems to have happen whenever something bad would occur.

Two small grey feathers, would fall from the sky and land on the ground or land close to my feet. (They are the size of a thumb nail.) And every time these two small grey feathers would fall, I would always have a horrible feeling that something bad would happen a need to check on the hatchings. When I didn't listen to my intention, I ended up finding a baby chicken dead in my yard (on the same day.) When I did listen I ended up saving one, from almost being killed by a cat.

What is this? Should I be worried that something with ill attention, is messing with my family (animals are a part of the family for me)? Or should I take this as some sort of blessing? Should I just let it do its cause? Advice would be wonderful, if whatever out there messing with them, they had pushed the last of my buttons and I'm becoming very protective over my hatchings because of it.

Finding a feather on the ground/coming across a feather is typically seen as a sign that angels are near. This could mean you have an angel who wishes to help you and guide you.

There's so many ways this can be read. I think the coincidence is a bit overwhelming when referring to the two small feathers and the two baby Winterbourne's. I've been sitting and thinking about this for a wile now. It can be warnings, sign, or omen that you'll face a hardship this coming winter.

From my understanding spirits don't interact on a physical level but they can influence And in order to give a sign they would typically appeal to ones rationalization. Before science begin to influence farming, chickens born in fall and winter was less common. Winter was also known as a season of hardship. The two little feathers and two Winterbourne chickens: this may not be or just be a sign that the chickens are in danger but perhaps something to take notice of due to the danger of the chickens. With the words two, winter, and chickens since I do not know their names of if they were given any and taking in to mind that Appealing to one's rational thought requires a personal level of knowing a person I can honestly say I don't think you'll get an accurate answer over the Internet. From my point of view of this matter is that hardship is coming and something is trying to tell you to prepare for or resolve something. What does lead me to believe that it's this winter is the sad understanding that your flock is diminishing like a count down as fall sets in. That leaves me with so many questions.

It all depends on what you may be abke to see or divine from the feathers. I, personally, am drawn to ravens as I relate to their energy. Therefore, I generally see it as a good omen when I come across their feathers and I respect them and their plumage accordingly. To be honest, quite a bit relates to your paradigm.

Thank you all for you're input. I've been researching the topic myself for a while and I'm happy seeing different opinions, since one answer in my research keeps popping up. Anyway I've decided to take as a Foresight. Not so much a good omen and not so much a bad omen, just a warning that I should be mindful.

You see there were six hatching original and I've been doing everything I could to prevent outside harm. But she is a new mother and had found a place, where I would have a lot of difficult getting too. So when two hatching, hatched their way out and were strong enough to walk the mother herself left the next. For the next three days, baby chickens would keep on hatching, as she would return back to the nest. They were weak, of course and the mother didn't want to wait around and they probably wouldn't have survived, if they hadn't left the nest themselves and had human help. Just so their legs were stronger enough to catch up to their mother. (She took them back in.)

So I've decided that the next following week, when two small feathers feel and that horrible feeling in my gut was a warning. There's a saying that I've heard before, "where three death, there will always be death." And I do not, find it as acoincidence, when the hatching did die in one shape or another, that they were babies I helped save. So why do I think it's a foresight.

Will I can cry (which I did) and scream in my mind, how totally unfair it is. And how they should live a life and run around with all the other chickens that I have. But what good would that do? Absolutely nothing. Beside at the end of the day, those hatching lived a pretty good life. They ran around the yard, eating all the grain and worms they could find. They got to know their mother, they were happy and they warm with a roof over their heads.

It's sad, it's short. But I got too help when I could and the hatching got to meet world for a short period of time. As for that cat? Maybe that was some sort of test for myself. I will never harm an animal, but I'mprotective of those I consider family. And stuck between a fence, with a cat playing with a hatching and I'm unarmed. I've always pride myself as being resources and ready to bust into tears because of the sight. I wasn't going to start crying then. So I stood my ground and stared it down ( a long and painful 20 seconds.)

Beside feathers can mean a lot of things. And I can't necessary track down the bird those feathers belonged to find a even deeper meaning. So with the research and everyone opinions. I've decide it was just a warning. You have six baby chicks, but not everything is as clear as they seem. Theuniverse could have givenme one feather, three or any number of feathers. But it has given me two.

You have six baby chicks. Four were not meant to make it this far. By the time winter is over, you will only have two baby chicks.

Even with everyone opinion in mind, I would have to say I'm withLichii_Lii'son this one.Theclock down started. The clock was ticking and hopefully the clock down is over. Thank you all for your help.

Later that night (could have been all the chicken talk) I was going to have a couple eggs for dinner and they both had double yolk. I don't know if it ment any thing but it made me really happy.
