Advice on deities

Hi, I am just starting out and I would like some advice on choosing my deities. I read that a deity may show you signs or you may have an affinity that would point you towards a specific deity or deities. I have always had an affinity to mirrors and mirrored items. Not so that I can see myself because I rarely look at my reflection except when applying makeup or doing my hair. I have just always found them beautiful and love using them in decorating and such. Any ideas and suggestions are welcome.

Well, first you should do research on deities, see which one that sparks your interest or may have a similar personality to you. Some deities will come to you through dreams and signs.

I was told it's like applying for work (I know this sounds like a bad metaphor and it probably is) youput in your applications / Resumes and the ones that feel yourqualified for will contact you.

So it's best to research all of them in order to recognize.

It's also good like what CrystalPink said to do research on the different types of deities. However, it's also good to ask yourself why are you doing this? What is the purpose of wanting to connect with one?

You said you do love mirrors but yet only really pay attention and see yourself when applying beauty products/doing your hair. So you I think you might enjoy doing some research on gods and goddess of beauty.

Mirrors huh? The ancients commonly referred to the Moon as the mirror of the Sun. Perhaps you would be drawn to deities of the Moon or the Sun? There are lots of Lunar and Solar deities linked with magic and divination, as well as healing, vitality, justice, truth and enlightenment. Does any of those themes sound intriguing to you?
