How to activate your magi

Hello,
Can anyone suggest how to truly activate my magickal powers? I've read many books on Magick, tried meditation, 3rd eye meditation and astral projection. I've tried casting many spells over the years but have always failed. I'm so desperate that I even tried to summon Lucifer a few times without any luck. I know that I did everything right with spell casting and I believe 100% that real magick exists. So what gives? I want to have that power more than anything in the whole Universe. What else could I try to activate the ability to successfully cast spells? Thanks.

What do you know about how magic works and how to cast a spell? Do you really practice or do you dabble at it?

Someone can 'practice' for years and not be any better than one that just started. In this field, what you get out is equal to what you put in.

Basically, keep trying.

Just to add, spells never even worked on me when it was cast by professional casters. And I know those people were real and not scammers. I just keep wondering why magick doesn't even have any effect when it's cast by someone that have practiced it for many years with great success.

If you are a beginner, it's better to start by a simple wish spell. When I say a simple I mean with simple things, NOT like "i want a million of dollars" or something like this, but simple things.

I now it's boring sometimes but you must learn the basics of magick first. I say this, because it's simple to work with magick when you find what path suits you most. For example, maybe you may be drawn to Moon, this means you can use the Moon to give you power. Or maybe you are more keen on sigil magick,or you may take power from music, etc.

Technically,most spells can be called "Wish" Spells.

Also...I took a look at the link you sent due to boredom and found it...extremely dubious.

The author seems to lump a variety of Magical Practices as Witchcraft. According to the author, Thelema, Shinto Practices, The practices of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, of Crowley and many others as "Witchcraft".

Oh, and High Magick? A TYPE OF WITCHCRAFT. She label many paths and systems as Witchcraft, even when they are not. Even when they have their own proper terminology to describe their own unique systems.

If the founders of some of the systems she mentioned were still alive and read what she wrote, I am sure quite a few of them would be frothing in rage.

I am not one that cares much about labels but what that author wrote....seems strange.

Well regarding 'third eye meditation' you should balance all your chakras from the root up so the energy flows naturally and doesn't pool in one place [a third eye chakra that is too open can cause migraines and hallucinations] also while astral projection is impressive, it has little to do with spell casting. Might I suggest visualization and creating psi balls as well as basic energy work [grounding, charging, shielding] this can help you tap into the energy around us and increase your spell casting abilities.

As for your lack of success, it could be a number of things. If you're not focusing your energy [mind is wandering and you're not focused on the specific goal] you are not tapping into the energy [just lighting a candle, reading a chant and walking away] or you do not follow through with the goal [cast a job spell then watch tv waiting for a job to appear] these are common reasons why a spell wouldn't work.

You should also consider the spell itself. If there's a flaw in the design it wouldn't work [say a transformation spell, or a love spell with deadly nightshade] if you doubt your ability or spell, or cast the wrong spell [you cast a love spell when you really need a confidence spell] it could effect it actually working. Furthermore if you cast too many spells [i want to be rich and loved so I'll cast a luck spell, then a money spell, and a love spell, followed by a beauty spell] you could be spreading yourself too thin and/or confusing the energy you put out which would cancel out everything.

Also, the spell might of worked but not how you planned. [You cast a money spell expecting to win the lottery but instead you're offered extra shifts at work] you need to be open to the possibilities. [you should also be willing to work for your goal. A love spell won't work if you're too nervous to introduce yourself]

And after you have done all if that( or beforehand) I really need to ask you this:
What did you expect the spell to do?
It is very easy to not get any results if you have been trying to throw a fireball for ten years. That is just not what magic does.
Also, on summoning:
Do‘nt expect a big door to open up and throw something physical into the room. That‘s not how it works.
At first when summoning any entity be tehy god ir ghost or angel you will feel a change in the atmosphere in the room. Like that feeling you sometimes get when you are alone at night but still feel watched. That is a good sign, that something has come ( usually what you called, but its always good to ask ) and when you ask it anything you will not hear some big booming voice, but either you will spontaneously figure it out „ by yourself“ or something line that. Personally I have found it best to start by devising a simple means of comunication like asking yes/no questions and directing the entities energy onto a coin, that you can then toss to determine the answer. Given time and expertise you will be able ro „ see and hear“ them better to the point where you can actually call them into physical form for you to see, but that is some high end stuff.
Basically it boils down to: what did you expect?
Also: it is quite possible for every one if those spells to have worked in one way or the other, maybe you were just to hung up on dissapointment to see.
Or you started unconsciously suppressing your spells because „ it did not work the last ten times, so why should it work now?“
