I'm very new to this forum and I joined to research as well as ask this specific question. I have no other sources for information pertaining to this and couldn't find the answer online.
Basically I performed a sweetening jar spell on my ex girlfriend. We broke up Dec 1 this month, I know we still love each other but she has been very bitter, cold and keeps berating me. The jar is to sweeten her up and allow us to hopefully speak peacefully.
So this week I burned a red candle on top of my sweetening jar until it went out each day. Based on my research I saw no negative signs. Today being day 5, on Friday the night before full moon and the candle burned out on its own. Soft white smoke billowed in clockwise motion towards me and a small drop of wax actually formed a very small heart shape.
The weird thing and my actual question is regarding omens possibly. Almost at the exact second the candle went out I heard a noise of something falling in another room. I'm home alone and my cats are sleeping in my room so I found out my ex girlfriend had a leg razor holder in our shower that fell into the tub off the wall it was stuck on. She is staying at her aunts during our breakup so there was no razor on it but I don't remember ever seeing it fall before. It's just strange it was hers and it fell off at that exact moment. Could this be just coincidence, bad omen or maybe a good omen? It definitely grabbed my intention.
It could be a sign, it could have just been hanging off the edge and fell then as a coincidence but if you take it as a sign, then it is. White smoke is usually saying that your work is being carried through and a heart shape is also a good sign. Sometimes candles go out on their own for various reasons. Either way, I would say it is a good omen, and I would personally take it as a sign.
That's why it was weird because it wasn't on the edge of anything, it's one of those ones you stick on the wall with a suction cup and the moisture usually keeps it in place. I do take it as a sign because it seems too off to be coincidence.
Since the "rule of 3" does apply to jar and candle magiks, I take them seriously.
1. Did you ask the spirit(s) for guidance/their blessing?
2. What items did you add to your sweet jar? Did you add anything to represent your ex?
3. Perform the ritual for the full 7 days, then watch for the signs. You stated that you "know" you two are still in love, but what is your proof? The fact she's berating you, could already be a sign your jar is backfiring.
