The Super Blood Wolf Moon

The Full moon is a good time for all sorts of magick. I imagine that a super moon will amplify the energies used. But what effect will a lunar eclipse have on energies and spells performed? And what sort of effect will the combination of these produce?

I work in a nursing home and most of us can tell you that without a doubt, the full moon has a crazy effect of the residents, especially those on the dementia unit. I am working on taking off the night of the 20th- The Super Blood Wolf Moon- mostly to avoid the almost garunteed catastrophy that will surely ensue on my unit from the effects of this lunar phenomenon. However, I would also like to utilize that time to cast some powerful magick or perform a ritual. My main concern is What kind of magick or ritual would be appropriate during this time? And What will the lunar eclipse aspect do to it?

I do believe, as you have already stated, that it will just amplify your magick. I am planning on doing a simple ritual of grounding and something to bring new blessings my way. It's also an anniversary of mine and so we will be celebrating that way. I'd also love to know this answer, so thanks for posting!

We use the full moon eclipse to break something bad, like a habit, and welcome something new. Or set two spells that balance each other during the eclipse. Our reasoning is that as the earth makes the shadow on the moon, the moon gets a very fast drop in temperatures, this quick drop can crack and shatter rocks. Then when the sun comes back it heats the surface of the moon back to normal very quickly. This fast change in temperature can be over a 400 degree difference. This is great time to use the power of the moon.
