Hello. I have a few questions about my spirit animal. I've always thought my spirit animal was a wolf, since I've always felt a deep connection with them. But how do I know if a wolf is actually my true spiritual animal? I've always felt such a deep connection with them, they've been my favorite animal for as long as I can remember. And if it isn't, how do I find mine? Is there any really good helpful meditation exercises?
First I'd like to give a bit of a disclaimer since I'm no expert on spiritual animals or guides in any way, but I was also on the wolf train in the same situation as you so I think I can give some friendly pointers.
I do advise a bit of meditation, firstly on the animal in question. So open yourself up in a sense to everything that animal embodies and see if you can connect on that wavelength, meaning everything in you can somewhat connect to what a wolf means in spirit. I initially thought the same, but often it turns out that our love and fascination with certain animals can create an illusionary bond that makes us see them as our perfect match, so I'd advise some thinking and research into the lore and nature of wolves before simply assuming ya know?
For my personal experience, I found mine through observance and looking past everything laid in front of me. To share my animal is the raven and it manifested itself either through dreams or meditation, always hiding in the background and going unnoticed until I made that first step: Asking.
You may also just love wolves which is fine, from my understanding not everyone has a spirit animal, but if you want to be sure I'd clear a space- In nature if possible and just meditate or put the intention of connection out into the world and ask for yours to manifest itself and watch the signs, watch the behavior of others and how you see the world around you. Spirit animals are tricky due to the guilty pleasure of wanting a 'cool' animal to represent you, and sometimes the animal you overlook can mean way more than what you see on the surface, so as I mentioned before I'd research wolves first and their spiritual qualities and see where you align, and in this process it's best, to be honest with yourself because these beings often help us learn more about ourselves than we already know.
But I'm just the neighborhood hippy so don't mind me, trust your instincts and watch the world around you carefully. Blessed be.
