Split personalities?

I was wondering if there is a spiritual explanation for spilt personality disorder?

It could be multiple souls

Even psychology is hesitant to acknowledge whether or not split personalities exist, despite the way it's portrayed in pop culture. If they genuinely do exist, it's likely something wrong with the psyche. Our brains all have multiple things going on at once that we filter out. The sufferers most likely, for some reason or another, cannot filter them the way everyone else does.

When you hear hoof beats, look for horses before assuming you heard unicorns. There's likely a mundane explanation for most things, so assuming it's magical or spiritual probably is a step backwards. People with mental disorders used to be killed and/or abused in so-called exorcisms for that prescribing to that way of thinking.
