Hades is indeed the Greek God of the Underworld. But don't confuse the Greek concept of the Underworld with the idea of Christian Hell. They are nothing alike. Hades and his wife, Persephone, preside over the souls of all of the dead as King and Queen.

I have also discovered a youtube channel that hosts several videos on the takes and histories of the greek gods. The channel is called 'overly sarcastic'. They tell the heroic tales in a somewhat summarized format, from historian's and storyteller's perspective. They are actually very informative though, and I find the channel to be a good source for at least basic information.

For example thanks to them I learned that Aphrodite was actually a really complex god, had multiple epitaphs and cults, and was recognized at times as a war god as well.
