"Many are not only content, but keen, to stand by idly and watch life pass them as they take on the role of a bystander. There are those who drive themselves forward, constantly seeking ways to improve and searching for the opportunities in the world to raise their standard of living and thinking." - Barry, a teacher of mine
Most are familiar with the fight or flight instinct, which is a primal reaction to high stress situations. We go into survival mode when these scenarios unfold, whether it's a robbery, or a persistent haunting. This goes hand in hand with cause and effect, where every action has a reaction or sometimes multiple chain reactions. Keeping this in mind, we are the masters of ourselves and, to some extent, the masters of our reality, which is subjective and unique to every person. This can be proved in the way we interpret dreams or divinations. Where one may read the coals in fire scrying, another may read the flames.
Purpose means something different to everyone. Whether you did something that wasn't your intention, something that drives you forward, or the ultimate question, "What is the purpose." which is a question that can only be answer by you because of its subjectivity. You define purpose, whether its long or short term. This presents itself in the career you choose, the hobbies you have, and the actions you make. Be careful not to confuse purpose with intention, because as they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Being steadfast and confident in your pursuits willstrengthen your purpose, or what drives you forward at the end of the day. If you feel lost or find yourself questioning the point or purpose of anything, remember that there are short term and long term ways to learn things. Have hope that so long as you have purpose, something that begs you to push yourself, you will continue to grow and learn.
Will
This has been a subject that has garnered a lot of focus from various practitioners and philosophers for eons, but recently, it has experienced a surge in recognition by authors such as Nietzsche or Crowley. Your will is a key to numerous doorways, and when you turn that lock, you will experience manifestation. Using purpose and will combined in thought is a practice of itself. Let your thoughts pass the gates of truth, peace, and necessity. Is it true, is it kind, is it needed? Ask yourself further how much energy you wish to expend on certain thoughts, words, or actions and you will see yourself manifest into the person and practitioner you want to be. Look at the world with crisp sight, but don't forget to look within yourself because you are also a key.
Manifestation of your intentions happens successfully and unsuccessfully all day long. Whether it's a failed conversation where you were constantlyinterrupted, or winning a game of chess after you have taken careful consideration for every piece being moved, yours or theirs. Life is like a game of chess in that when we learn to analyze both sides, we practice observing things from different perspectives. This is a massive skill when manifesting your intentions because you learn to think objectively, creatively, and with peace and confidence because you have recognized your purpose as fluid because it is subjective.
