Astrology and spells

Does anyone here use Astrology alongside spell casting ? Im talking slightly more in depth, not just about working with the moon phases.

For example, (for anyone who knows about astrology) say we have a Void of course moon, which is when the moon makes no more aspects to other planets in the sign its in, and one of the meanings of this is "nothing will come of the matter". Would this make you reconsider doing a spell at this time, as it may not work ?

I was going to start on a sigil tonight, ive got to do something witchy on halloween lol....but its a VOC moon, so im not sure if i even should bother, or am i just thinking too deep into it ?

I think your thinking a little to much. I'm Halloween the veil between worlds is lifted (as the myth says) so I think it will have more power.

I will test my theory out though sometime in the future, just to see if the planetary alignments do have some effect on spell manifestations.

I've always looked at the void moon as a great time for banishing.

If you are looking to attract something to you I'd wait for another time.

Perhaps sometime where there are many aspects to a planet in the area of spellbook you are doing. Ie Mars for action quick acting spells, Mercury for headwork etc.

I am looking to look more towards astrology and spell writing at a future date where I have the extra time.
