So I was on reddit today and came across someone asking about telekinesis techniques because they "can't seem to make anything move or spin no matter how hard [they] try". And I just commented "telekinesis isn't real", to which someone replied saying I didn't belong there. Someone else commented suggesting techniques the original poster could try.
So... is telekinesis real...do I need to re-evaluate my thoughts on the limitations of magick?
Or are those people delusional?
I think I was little harsh and blunt, but I didn't expect to get people disagreeing with me.
I just need a reality check for a moment.

Lets just say that, all claims to the contrary, no one has ever successfully demonstrated that any forms of kinesis work. So at this point it appears that it is not real.
People can make all the claims they want. Some on this board claim they are a werewolf or dragon. But to determine whether something like kinesis of any form is actually real, you have to be able to demonstrate it. And YouTube videos don't count as proof as they are too easily altered to make something seem to be happening which is not.
Telekinesis is not real. Magic still follows the rules of physics (specificallythe laws of motion) and thermodynamics. As far as I know, magic has not broken any of these rules. Many claim they can move objects with their mind, but cannot prove it. Until I see reliable sources and experimental proof, telekinesis will always be a rejected hypothesis.
Back in October I did a Post on Energy Manipulation, which covered the theory of Telekinesis, which explores a different viewpoint of the abilities (not just limited to moving things with your mind) The testing and documentation for moving objects is unfounded, meaning there is no proof that this ability exists, however, there is substantial proof and evidence of other abilities related, especially in the healing aspect of it.
If you start researching and reading up on some of the test studies with solid controls, it is pretty interesting stuff to consider. But for your straightforward question of moving objects with your mind? It just isn't possible at this point in time.
Kaurora, I just read your post on energy manipulation and I liked it so much I favorited it :) I knew about energy manipulation, but had never seen it being referred to as telekinesis before. I could have made a mistake, but as I quoted the person on reddit directly, I am pretty sure they were referring to moving objects with their mind. Thanks for your input everyone!
