In admist of this global pandemic technology has little answer for this corona virus. In the days of old people looked to us to cure disease and plauge. It is a question right now witch craft is the answer. We must not forget who and our purpose being practitioner of the craft. Seeing technology and modern medicine can't solve the pandemic maybe it time for some old magic to intervene
Technology and modern medicine will cure the pandemic. In the mean time social distancing and regular hand washing are your most effective weapons against the pandemic.
Witchcraft should be aimed at protection first and aiding in healing in a general way. It will not cure someone miraculously as much as I wish it could.
Putting out general protection and healing spells is a great way to contribute in a magical way, but technology is working towards a solution. Modern solutions and magic can coexist perfectly fine. Pandemics have happened before and will happen again. By all means, act in some way to use magic to our advantage if you feel right about that, but it's dangerous to insinuate that technology and medicine are useless right now.
I think a spell is what is behind the start and spread of the disease, it seems unnatural, the spread and mass panic, it is a conspiracy I believe.
Clearly this is chemical warfare, the Pentagon sent a chemical warfare general to china in the beginning phase of the disease last month, why?
But a spell had to move this, or caused whoever decided to spread this to do the task required, this is not natural, no one in their right mind would do something like this.
I'd really like to know if belial has anything to do with this or know anything about it, out of respect of the luciferians and goetia followers.
It seems as if pandora's box has been opened metaphorically, nothing about this year has been normal.
I just heard two banshees within the week, one important person to me has died and I haven't noticed any deaths in my family have happened yet after the second, skin walkers have been moving in the area and the veil is growing weaker. Void walkers aren't doing their jobs we PAY them for (all jokes aside).
Fates childs aren't defending us against these crimes, something is not right, the world is dangerously unbalanced.
We'd need someone incredibly powerful, or a number of witches who know what the hell they're doing to set the world back in balance to combat this chaotic energy that has been set off, it's not going to get better anytime soon otherwise.
All technology and modern medicine came from magic it is also dangerous to forget that. it wasn't technology or modern medicine that beats plauge in ancient days. It was the shaman witch or priest that cured the plauge back then
I agree my spirit animal and other out of world familiars that following me. They have been super protective of me. Witches have to look to the supernatural more. I sense this plauge is more than we can see so we have to look to the unseen aka supernatural to get answers.
There have been group castings to protect people but relying only on magick is dangerous. Historically witches were the people who understood herbs and remedies to cure illness, but we have changed with technology. I'm not about to deny a hot honey and lemon will help my sore throat, but I'm not about to use it on a deadly virus we have no known cure for.
Also, no, priests and witches didn't stop the black plague. It killed 1/3 of the population before subsiding. Priests claimed it was God's wrath upon sinners. And while I'm sure they blessed people and used faith healing, it didn't stop the plague.
It's not fun, but the best things we can do at this time is those mundane things; wash your hands, stay at home, social distancing. Yes, spells can help, but it won't be the only things required, or the secret ingredient needed to fix this [and I'm speaking as someone whose Goddess is known for healing among other things. I've asked her for protection, but I'm not about to go partying because I have a spiritual ace up my sleeve]
If you want to join in on the healing/protection casting, light a white candle and say a blessing. Other than that, follow the WHO outlines and stay at home. There are plenty of things we can do to help one another, and as witches, there are spiritual things we can do but don't forget the mundane. If you can donate to food banks, do so, if you can pick up groceries for a neighbour, do that, call your loved ones, send a text checking in on friends.
I definitely think the poster above me has the best idea. It may seem more exciting/effective to rely on magic in a circumstance like this, but magic should never be used as the single handed solution for a medical problem this severe, regardless of any historical data (especially considering how wrong it is to claim that witches "beat" something that wiped out a vast amount of people).
If you are looking for a magical solution still, nekoshema's blessing idea is great. Also, keep an eye out as many witches have been posting mass spell plans online that you can participate in. Either way, though, magic will not do anything if you turn to it solely and forget what advancements we have made. Washing your hands, distancing, and trying to maintain your health are the best things we can do right now.
