So... I was cleansing my alter and I found a BRIGHT red hair draped on a candle (don't know if that's important), I haven't had red hair for at least 3 years, no one in my house has red hair, any idea that this means, if anything?
The candle was white and I had a slight feeling of dread and intense confusion if that helps, alround bad vibes.
Could be random and not mean a thing. It could be a warning that someone is trying to use magic on you in an unfavorable way or against you. It could be just a reminder that you need to step up your protection wards and other defenses. Was it just the hair that magically appeared or was it also the candle? Strange things like this happen to me sometimes and I try to follow my instincts. Sometimes I see them has gifts from the universe to take action with;whileother times I see them as odd occurrences, that I make a mental note of, and then file the memory away to see what unfolds. It's really up to you and your instincts how you will proceed.
Just some small advice here. You said you hadn't had red hair in 3 years, right? Well then logically it could possibly be an old strand of red hair from the time when you did have red hair that was only lying around until one of your actions swept it up and displaced it atop the candle. As for my spiritual response - I feel this is a warning of sorts for you, but I could be wrong. Have you tried consulting your Patron or matron deity? If you feel dread, then a simple cleansing should help either way. :]
The hair could have been stuck somewhere and managed to be dislodged, and found its way to your altar. I think most likely it was your own. Hair has a way of sticking around somehow, probably for being so thin.
I did think that it could possibly be mine but I feel like it's really unlikely, my alter is in a cleared out cabinet with two latching doors, due to space reasons, but of course it could always be mine.
I'm a relatively new at practicing so I haven't sought out a patron, I don'tnow if I'm ready for that yet, and I haven't been contacted to my knowledge.
A cleansing with white sage, cedar wood,or another cleansing herb should help to release any negative energy lurking about. As I suggested prior you should practice some protective magics with the candle. Inscribe your name and protective symbols on the candle, then anoint the candle with a protection oil of rosemary, bay, juniper, or yarrow.
