I've always wanted to astral project but cannot seem to do it no matter how many long months I have tried. Does anyone have any advice that could help? I've tried a floating method and ladder climbing method to help me project but with no luck. I honestly need help.
I've been where you are regards astral projection. Personally I've never been able to float out of my body. Though my mother told me she had an out of body experience during labor for me.
My suggestion is to perhaps practice a bit of remote viewing to help you along. Look into it a bit.
One practices remote viewing by visualizing a place physically nearby but not within site, like a place down the road, or another room in your place you haven't seen recently, like a sibling's room.
You visualize a place nearby you haven't physically visited recently, and within visualization you look around, see what's in the area, listen to your intuitive feelings, all this is done using your mind's eye along with intuition, or gut feeling.
Then, you go physically to the place you visualized. You look around to see what is similar to your visualization. Which surroundings are similar, what looks like what you visualized. Does anything resemble what you saw in your visualization?
Keep practicing this with different areas close by. Visualize and then visit these places. You may like to write your experiences and observations in a journal.
And keep practicing.
I hope you find some of this helps you along, or helps to bring to you another perspective. I've never been able to achieve an out of body experience in the way that is expected by astral projection.
I don't understand what the laddr and floating methods are. Will I understand them once I try them? I just don't want to try soething and do it wrong and mess myself up.
floating method and ladder climbing are two technicals said to help those who are starting Astral projection. These technicals do not help everyone though, but they are common methods used for people who are intentionally trying to astral project. From my knowledge they do not mess up a person in anyway, but can give slightly different experience to those who are trying them. It is also best to do your own research on the both of them before trying them.
Violet, while I haven't tried the ladder method, I imaging it involves sensing and or visualization, I have tried the floating method.
I practice the floating method by sensing myself, astral body, floating up and out of my body.
This can be accompanied by affectslike a feeling of light headedness, and often I would have a sensation of swinging back and forth. So methods such as these are capable of affecting an individual. To what extent? I'm not entirely certain. It seems to me like methods such as these affect our bodies like meditating can. I seemed to recover after some time had passed after stopping the exercise.
As far as the ladder method I imagine it is practiced similarly.
I find it really interesting how often astral projection methods include the sensation of rocking back and forth. The roll-out method, the floating method, the falling method, and some others I can't remember off-hand can incorporate that sensation.
Firstly just close your eyes and envision how your room looks. See every little thing in your room as is but with your eyes closed shut. Make sure it's dark. Even imagine how the corners in the ceiling look like. If you can see without opening your eyes like this it is one step torwards walking around in your astral body.
