If you only have house plants you can do the same for them as will.
Working with tree spirits or tree energy is great source of energy for the craft, but with any form of spirit it is best to always try and form a relationship with that said spirit beforehand. While trees would help you even if you dont have that relationship, they will be a little bit more closed off to you if you suddenly asked them to do something.
This is just a small list on how you could get closer to nature.
Sing to them
Many trees like a more smoothing tone singing to them is a great way for them to start being more curious about you.
Playing music
Music is a great source of energy to help bond with trees.
Looking after them
If the trees are in your yard you can help look after them this can be as simple as watering them.
Talking to them
Spend some times talking to the trees.
Sitting under them
Sitting under the trees is a great way to help you ground, but also for the tree to get to know you. However, please be safe about this always make sure by looking up at the tree to see if there are any bee hives or loses branches. The last thing you want is a branch to fall on top of you. Remember about your own safety as will.
Stay away
If you feel like you should stay away from one tree best to stay away and respect their boundary. I remember a public tree that had its bark been cut into by people who wrote their names and other things done to it. The energy it was setting out was an energy of back off. If you get a feeling you should stay away from a tree dont head towards it and dont try to bond with it unless you know what you are doing. If the tree doesnt want you near them then they dont want you near them. As the person you should respect this wish.
Yes, it does. It works with all sorts of plants it's up to you to try and find what the plant or tree like the most. This is done through your own attempts and listening to your gut feeling if the tree or plant says like music more then you talking to them.
I'm very interested in connecting with tree spirits, what kind of things can you ask a tree for? Would u communicate with them like with deities? Any guidance would be very appreciated! Thank you :)
In my experience I do. I give them that respect and space. Sometimes you are just called to a tree that wants to work with you like a deity calling to you. Trees have their own from energy each one of them different. You might want to research on how that plant has helped the human race to get to know that energy. You really shouldnt ask a tree for anything if you dont know the energy very well. Their fairly shy. Like getting to know people it takes a while to form that bond. Late reply, I didnt see this post above until recently.
There is a willow tree in the town I used to live in that I have a very strong connection with. I refer to him as brother willow and I still make it a point to visit him every time I go back to that town. I used to remove energy blockages as he was dying for years, but I am glad to say that the last time I saw him, he was looking great and even had a bird's nest in his branches!
Olivermoon this works with any form of tree, or plant so yes house plants. Foxshaman that sounds lovely I'm sure the tree is thankful for your aid andRomanRuin, yes it is less demanding and it also helps you to ground.
They also like to be hugged.
There is a tree, a lemon eucalyptus, that I have formed a strong bond with. It, like you mentioned, was great for grounding and I could feel anxious energy drain away from me and down the trunk, into the earth every time I laid hands on it, hugged it or placed my back upon it.
It got me past a tachycardia attack once. I was hiking near the tree when the attack started, so I went and hugged it. It took, some time but the attack eventually resolved. Usually I would have to go to the hospital for a chemical cardioversion, yuck I hated that.
This tree hugged me back the first time I hugged it, and never had I experienced such love coming from a tree. At that first meeting I also put my ear to the trunk, where I could hear a tapping or knocking sort of noise, still wonder what it might have been saying. In the many times I've been there, I only heard it knock one other time.
Now I miss that tree after all this talk ! It is on the campus of a large college way in the back where no one goes and I don't go to that school anymore, but I can see it from the road and frequently drive by and wave to it thru the fencing.
Trees are so amazing.
