Happy Yule

I hope everyone had a happy Yule and that the season of light treats you well.

Out of curiosity what are some ways you celebrate the holiday?

I usually do a big cleaning after calling on the assistance of the elementals to clean out any stagnant or negative energy. Along with enjoy the sunshine and let it warm me. Opening window curtains (and usually one window in general to let the crisp air in) to help purify the houses energy. I also hung dried oranges with peanut butter and seeds outside for the birds and squirrels. Finally Ill leave a (encased in a metal and glass lamp) candle with offerings on my outdoor altar for the divines, spirits, and animals.

My Yule celebrations have been relatively simple. I intend to do a Christmas shopping for family, as my family has always celebrated Christian, Catholic, and national holidays.

Aside from that I left offerings out for deity and one saint.

To the Saint I left abalone chips, and a bottle of moss. To deity I left 2 ryolite stones and 1 lodolite in a small sake cup. And a bottle of coated peanuts, that are meant to be left there until the 25th. Those will on that day be consumed.

I also have small candy canes in a glass jar on the altar.

On solstice day I celebrated with peppermint tea with candy cane garnishes and a one card tarot pull.

What kind of offerings did you leave out if you don't mind me asking?

Nothing fancy. A Pomander, cinnamon pine cone, and an apple cut in half to show the five pointed star in the center. Oh and I put a bunch of birdseed on the altar for the critters. I'm sure the bunnies, squirrels, and birds loved the food.
