Okay so I have a question about curses mainly, I know everything is neautrally charged with energy but I was wondering if every herb can be used for a curse, for example (if I remember correctly, correct me if I'm wrong) cinnamon can be an ingredient to a love spell, could it also be used in a curse to bring the opposite effect?
There are very differing opinions on this I have personally found within the pagan, witchcraft community.
I used to be a very intent based practitioner. Believing it is your faith and belief and not the tools at all that is important.
For example in the past I had every faith I could utilize rose for a protection spell and have it work, because what matters most is your faith and belief in your work.
And this really does work.
However would I use rose for protection now? Certainly if it was all I had. But it's not. I have wonderful herbs around me with inherent protection qualities already. And honestly many help my faith along a bit stronger than rose petals.
Rose stems thorns and all by the way, are wonderful for protective qualities.
So could you use cinnamon for cursing? Of course. If you have a strong faith. It is a spicy little spice after all.
Yet here is the rub. Why use cinnamon, if you have chilli powder, cayenne pepper, or acrimony?
Sorry I forgot to say as well when relying on a strong faith with spellwork you are going to need to maintain the faith, and utilize more energy. It is possible. The more energy you put into spellwork the more you get out of it.
Yet as someone whos own personal faith waxes and wanes often daily, I don't subscribe to the idea of it necessarily being an easy form of spellwork, not that any is.
It will require practice, as all other forms of magical practice do.
Practice and the ability to maintain a strong faith and to gather and direct energy.
I was asking because I know that every herb and item has a different intention
A friend has asked me to do a breakup spell so her friend gets out of a toxic relationship but I just have no idea how to do it (if anyone has any ideas I'd like to hear em)
I remembered that cinnamon is used in love spells so I thought I'd use it in order to make them break up, I don't really know if that will work or not, so I needed to know what will happen if I give it a negative charge
Thank you so much for the info and don't worry about double posting! It was really helpful! If anyone can please recommend a spell I would appreciate it
So your friend wants to sever a relationship between her friend and their significant?
I've heard of a souring spell being done to sour a relationship or spoiling it.
It is done with 2 petition papers with the names of the individuals written on it, in this case her friend and their partner, a lemon, and pins.
You cut the lemon in half and put the petitions between the two slices while focusing on the souring of the relationship. You keep the two slices with petitions between them together while sticking pins into the slices to keep them together. Once done you can set it somewhere until it takes effect.
This may not be the best route if your friend is concerned about her friend.
She can also try a separation spell. She or he rather can use two figure candles male and female or two to represent the two individuals within the relationship. Your friend can place these on a surface appropriate for a candle, holders on a tabletop; next to each other. They can light the candles and every few to several moments begin to move them apart. They can take a few moments and move them further and further apart as the spell continues. Once they feel the candles are far enough, representing separation, they can blow or snuff them out. Blowing may be preferred representing sending the relationship away.
