I've been working on trying to find my magic niche and I think cause I've got so much fire in my astrology that fire magic might be up my alley. Unfortunately, I can't find many resources beyond pyromancy and candle magic. Does anyone know anywhere I can find more info about fire magic or have any tips?
There are many ways to use fire in your magick I recommend trying some candle magick first and connecting with fire and the meaning of the way it burned basically work with fire and get to understand it another great method I love is meditating on that element witch is fire overall just take the time to understand the element, anyways hope it helped good luck
Blessed Be
Cleansing/purification; removing negativity, 'burning away' blocks and barriers or even mortality in favor of spiritual thought and connection. Removal of infection.
Guidance; like a lighthouse in the dark, receiving guidance or giving it (being a beacon of light), calling spirits and guides (follow the lantern I have light to join me in this space).
Inspiration; Much like guidance, but with a more creative focus.
Transformation/release; Burn a spell to convert physical to energy/spiritual and release it to the aether. Burn the old so the new can grow. Change and upliftment from one state to the next. Application of raw energy to drive change.
The more you work with fire and it's correspondences the stronger your bond to this element will be. Perhaps itmeans you draw a lot of sun energy into your workings as it is a big massive ball of fire. Or you focus on workings that include a lot of fiery aspects such as alchemy. Meditation and working with the chakras will help strengthen your connection to your inner light or fire, awaking the energy within you. Cooking with fire is a love shared by many and is a huge aspect of kitchen witchery. I personally love to connect with fire through dance. Dancing arounda fire brings a connection to it like no other for me. Playing with fire is awesome, so long assafety precautions are taken. Fire extinguishers are important, access to water quickly is important. and even fire blankets and spotters are important especially when someone is spinning fire. What ever you do always be careful and do some research before diving into a new aspect. Being informed could save you a lot of grief.
I've been doing a lot of hearth witchery over the past couple years, and in one of my favorite books, Tending Brigids Flame by Weatherstone, there's an entire chapter on fire safety I've been using as a reference. Highly recommend it even if you aren't a Brigid devotee :)
