So idk if I'm possessed or something. It started like a year or two ago. At night, I would be pulled an inch or two above my bed by an invisible force. It felt like my soul was getting ripped from my body. Eventually that went away, but it came back in a new form. In my chest and ribs, around the same spot as before, I get a lot of pain and breathing problems. It makes doing sports extremely hard. I've been going to doctors and doing all sorts of test, but they still have found nothing wrong. And more recently, past few months, I can't use magic. No spells work anymore. Not even simple things I used to be able to do. I always am tired and sore and feel drained of energy and life force. What do I do?
Possibly sleep paralysis? Because levitation is impossible;it's just a gimmick used in horror movies. Talk to a doctor that specializes in respiratory problems and possibly inner ear problems if you have a history of losing your orientation. As for magic not working, that's usually a spiritual block that can be fixed with meditation on what the core of the problem is, whether that's a blocked chakra or a Dark Night of the Soul (think spiritual depression). You can connect to different elements, see if adopting aspects of them into your lifestyle helps. I've been incorporating more Fire in my life and I've found it to be very invigorating.
If the doctor's are at a loss as to what is causing the breathing issues and pain, it seems possible it could be related to anxiety issues.
Especially with your current emotional state, which is being upset by your experience, an anxiety could have developed.
And you are not wrong to feel the way you do. You had a traumatic experience more than likely witnessed during sleep paralysis.
You may wish to consider speaking with a talk therapist if you can. This may help you work through the emotions present, and they may help get to the bottom of what is causing your pain if it isn't medical.
I have gone to the doctor for all sorts of things about my chest. X-rays, EKGs, pulmonary tests, and more recently sleep studies. Nothing shows up wrong on any test. I will definitely try meditating more.
Hm... ok, maybe. I can't exactly go and do that because I still live with my parents. And they are Christian. They most definitely wouldn't let be go to a therapist to help with a magic block.
Well, the magic block will resolve itself with time. Your top priority is getting what could be anxiety under control. If you're under 18, check resources your schoolmay provide for mental health, or convince your parents that you need a therapist for anxiety. You can potentially get a referral from a doctor. If you're over 18, regardless if you live with your parents or not, you can look into getting a therapist yourself without them knowing. I'd check out psychology.com
