Trees cutting

There is a tree near a path that I take when I want to go for walks outside of my neighborhood. Today it was 104 degrees outside, and they where cutting down the tree. I live in a desert type climate, AZ area. I felt really sad for some reason. I went home and cried for a half an hour afterwards. It felt like I list something.

When my family and I moved here around a year and a half ago, I'd go on walks alone to cool down as things are tense at home. I'd sit under that tree when I wanted a break from hiking.

I felt really like, i lost a best friend. I only ever felt that way about a plant when my garden of tulips and petunias where ripped up by the neighborhood kids when I was a preteen.

Is there a certain reason for this? I know my ancestors believed in animanism as they where native Sami. I cant explain why I feel so sensitive when a plant or my pet fish pass away.

I am a Green Witch at my core so I know what you are feeling. It sounds like you have a deep connection with the earth and the earth has a deep connection with you. It also sounds like you are in tune with the natural world and all living things that dwell on it. There is a universal force that flows through all things and everything is connected to this energy. It is important to never harm the earth or to intentionally harm life unless it to protect life. When humanity impacts the natural world it will disrupt this universal force and to those that are bonded with the natural world can feel that a corruption has been inflicted. I worked in reforestation when I was much younger and my job was to go into clear cuts and burns and plant seedlings. I can tell you that planting a few trees will help restore what has been destroyed. Hope this helps

There was a tree next door. They had to trim it back, but I felt so much pain and sadness coming from the tree that I knew it didn't want a trim.

What you had felt was the tree itself crying out the sadness was unlikely yours, but the tree. Maybe plant a new one nearby.
