The book Luciferian Goetia by Michael Ford is an modern take on the original writings of Aleister Crowley. Specificaly Crowley's Grimore and theGoatia translations he did. Luciferian Goetia is a modern book written in the 21st centuryabout the Left hand path that includes the author's personal experiences and entires from his own grimore.

I will freely admit a great deal of ignorance towards the Goetia, as I have not had much inclination to work with them. Come to think of it, I think the only time I felt inspired to do a little investigating was thanks to being introduced to one of the princes (Stolas) in Helluva Boss. A pretty funny-but definitely mature- youtube series.

Though, from what I learned it seems the hierarchy and domains of the goetian princes is very important and rigid. Calling on, and working with them is an exercise of names and titles, recognition, honor, and also authority/command. The Goetia can be helpful, but they will also take advantage of you if given the chance. They are lords and commanders of their domain. So they seem a bit more worthy of caution and proper action than other beings.

I assume you are referring to Michael Ford's book on the Goetia? I can't say I hold his work in high regard, ironically I can also say I don't hold Crowley's (or rather Mathers) version of Goetia in high regard either. I think Goetia should be worked as written first before being adapted by the individual practitioner. There are some excellent books on the subject the two I would recommend are Joseph Peterson's edition of the Lemegeton and The Goetia of Dr Rudd edited by Stephen Skinner- this is an adapted form of the system but Skinner does a really good job at presenting an overview.

Judging by quick glances of the book, it seems to be a Satanic spin on the works originally brought to us by Crowley and Mathers. It looks like an interesting take, although I'm fairly wary of Ford as an author, as some of his works seem to be a bit more tailored to the Satanic aesthetic rather than providing objective, academic information. But that's just my humble opinion
