Candle magic can be used in two main ways. 1 , where you use the candle as a vessel of the spell's energy. This is done by cleansing the candle to remove any energy that would "contaminate" the spell's energy. You would then dress the candle with any spell oils you've created if your using them which would then charge the candle with the energy of the spell, this is also where any herbs would be added to add extra power (non required) where the herbs are basically an "object" made of a specific type of energy that your intention is then hand selecting which aspect of that object's archetype your putting into the candle. If your just using energy work then you would still do the same thing since herbs and spell oils are just something extra. Once you've done all the energy work you would then light the candle and perform your spell. As the wax is burned down the spell is then released into the smoke and the idea is that the smoke goes to the universe / to your deities where then energy work then overflows into the physical world where the spell then manifests. Or you can simply work with the flame itself as a form of elemental magick. Another thing to note, is that white magick and black magick are just terms. Terms that come from racism where the idea is if your a pale skinned person your a "white" magic user and if your say, from an eastern tradition your a "black" magic user. In reality white magic is "positive changes" where as black magic is "baneful changes". It sounds like you shouldn't be getting into spells until you know how magick actually works and how the system works because in reality all spells require the same level of mastery regardless of it's "basic" or not.
You can try using the forum search feature to locate healing and protection spells. I have posted a few protection spells to the site as have many other members.
Hi again! You would be better off writing your own spells since you will have a better connection to your own words and energy compared to another's with their unique intention. In addition, you will find that you know your own skill level, what your comfortable doing, how you want to cast the spell, and what you can afford to do (Ie: being a witch who has to keep their practice in the shadows due to family not accepting witchcraft as real one wouldn't be able to do say, a 7 day candle spell). If your looking for incantations and the like it's better if you wait until you have a specific situation that you would actually like to change, this way when you undertake spell work you will have a specific goal in mind that will allow you to focus more on the ritual then simply say, having pages filled with the other's incantations.
