I wouldn't overwhelm yourself with everything at once. Yes, this is a helpful list, but if something doesn't interest you, you don't need to study it right away or at all. If you have no interest in working with deities or crystals, you don't need to study them as part of your introduction to witchcraft. What witchcraft is and what magick is are good starts. Next, I would suggest energy work [charging, grounding, shielding, psi balls] and protections. Meditation is also important, but not for everyone. [it's also not just sitting with your mind blank for hours. It's about being present. Going for a walk and observing the world around you can be a meditation]
I suggest finding a good beginners guide and reading that. It doesn't mean you must always follow this book, but it will give you a strong foundation so when you read other books, you can weed out facts and fiction. In no order, some books I'd suggest are:
The Green Witch by Arin Murphy-Hiscock
Rebel Witch by Kelly-Ann Maddox
Bucklands Complete Book of Witchcraft by Raymond Buckland
Wicca for life [and the sequel Living Wicca] by Scott Cunningham
Psychic Witch by Mat Auryn
To Walk a Pagan Path by Alaric Albertsson
The Inner Temple of Witchcraft [and the sequel The Outer Temple of Witchcraft] by Christopher Penczak
The Goddess is in the Details [and the sequel Everyday Witchcraft] by Deborah Blake
The Witches Book of Shadows by Jason Mankey
The first question I would ask is whether you are interested in Witchcraft as simply a magical practice, or whether you are looking at it as a spiritual path. If it's the latter you will want to look into religious Witchcraft and/or Wicca. If you are simply interested in a magical practice then Traditional Witchcraft is likely the route you want to explore.
I agree with much of the above. Not everyone is going to work with deities or spirits, and I wouldn't exactly suggest starting with spirit work specifically.
One can practice and be a successful witchcraft practitioner without ever having to work with either deities or spirits.
Personally I do not make much usage of moon phases or magical days in my practice, and others too do not.
I do appreciate what you are trying to do, to share ideas on where to start and hope to see more in depth articles from you.
