protect a loved one

my boyfriend having health problems since we first shared pics together. yesterday he said his ex was practicing witchcraft and collected his nails, hair etc. we believe she causes this problems. how can I protect him without hurting the girl? normally I practice satanism but he said he doesn’t want any satan related protection. what kind of spells/rituals I can do?

Something I do when I have nightmares or feel like something negative is having an effect on my life is putting up a ward.

My practice for this starts with grounding and meditation, so picturing roots spreading from my body and into the earth. I like to imagine them absorbing the energy of the earth. While I'm doing this I like to imagine the light of the moon wrapping around me, my inner fire enveloping me, and positive forces around me coming together to protect me. I picture these four forces/elementsswirling around me and I chant in my head "Power from mother, power from earth, power from inside me, and power from worth. Take me over and make me stronger, I will be weak for no longer" over and over until Ifeel secure and safe. Sometimes I'll imagine the four forces blending together intoa layer on my skinlike ethereal armor

This is a variation of a spell I found on this site actually, although I don't remember what it was called anymore. The visualizations for the four forces were the parts I came up with. Moon and water for the line about the mother, roots and earth for the earth, inner fire for inner power, and external positivity in the air for worth. I line these up with the four elements in my head to make it feelbalanced.
