Today we tend to believe that creatures such as werewolves vampires or even unicorns are all myths. Tales used to be dazzle young children, and to lead scientists astray in their thoughts and mad searches.
Yet the origins of these myths were made by people of the ancient times, people with more knowledge than we have now the forefathers of science, History and culture.
How can it be that these forefathers of religion and other educative studies could have made up something that today is said to be impossible.
I for one believe that mythical creatures are actually still existent. That they hide amongst us and they mimic other animals of the modern day.
And not just creatures but also humanoid creatures such as elves vampires and werewolves and even dwarves and satyrs exist through our world yet hiding and plain sight fearing of persecution from mankind and the acts of man's judgemental prejudice.
A lot of the time myths about these beings as physical entities developed from misunderstandings about perfectly normal things. We'll use vampires as an example. People didn't understand what happens to a corpse while it decays, so they figured the bloating was due to the deceased returning and drinking blood. From what I understand, this is where the vampire myth comes from originally.
There are people who call themselves vampires out there, but it doesn't mean they go out at night and drink blood. Some people do actually drink blood, but it's a very, very small amount, and they don't need to do so to survive. They're most certainly not undead and they don't have any mythical abilities. They're just normal people like us who choose to embrace a vampiric lifestyle.
I will only say that I have seen many things which would lead me to not doubt the existence of other things which I have not seen. As they say, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
I personally do not believe in mythologicalcreatures, but the werewolf was indeed real. It was a magical practice done by certain people in the middle ages. I do not know the reason why someone would practice this but there are actually a couple of books you can read about this subject. No, they do not turn into actual werewolves. I am guessing it probably came from old pagan practices. Instead, they would astral project themselves into the spirit world. Werewolves were hunted like witches were in witch hunts. Of course, they were tortured and many have confessed things only because of that. To my knowledge, there is no modern magic book out there detailing theirrituals. You will have to read academic work just to learn about them.

I beg to slightly differ from the conversation here. To me, this world seems like a puzzle which noone can solve. It's full of unknown and there's no limit to universe, every milli-second it's expanding and creating new galaxies. There's no such evidence that other-kins actually exist on this planet but there's no solid evidence that they never existed or are in hiding ?
Having a belief over something is good but having a blind faith is wrong. Magick nowhere mentions that other-kin do not exist. It doesn't have any boundaries, if it did, won't it become science instead ? (which is limited to certain aspects).
Secondly, there are ancient practises and taboos which have accounts of these beings. There have been practises like therianthropy back in those days, so I won't be shocked if there's more to it.
(Again, I am not telling anyone to believe this one, but research on your own. If fates are on your side, you might discover something real good.)
