I was doing a Lilith invocation ritual in the Hebrew language (precisely a ritual of lust and attraction) taken from a book written by a sorcerer, last time I was launching it against a person but I had no results and I had no strange phenomena.
This time while I was reading the formula, the flame of the candle (which was low from the beginning, just lit up) began to Crackle, after 2-3 times the candle began to catch fire, I couldn't see if only the upper part or all of it, because out of fear I had to turn it off.
Did I recite the formula wrong and the entity was offended?
Did I get the day wrong, the color of the candle, the lunation?
Or is the person protected and I cannot proceed with the work?
The reasons that I know could be these, I don't know if there are others..
I tend to specify that after the ritual I proceeded to protect myself, at the beginning of the ritual I wasn't afraid, but after the phenomenon I ran for cover.
Where did I go wrong? Can I continue doing this or should I change my strategy?
The crackling of the candle flame could be due to air bubbles in the wax, dirt or other impurities in the candle wax,or moisture on or around the candle wick. This can actually cause the candle flame to flair up, crackle, pop, or not burn properly. Doesn't mean that anything was going on with the ritual or that you did it incorrectly.

Good day. I'm not trying to beat a dead horse, I just saw a post recently that was asking a similar question.
Flames are very easily moved. Could be air conditioning, impurities on the wick or more. I assume you are looking at this to be Pyrokinesis? This, at least to me is not real.
If you are interested in the meaning of a moving flame, you can look into pyromancy divination with ritual candle burns. There are articles here as well about working with Elementals.

The logical answer is how the candle was constructed [poor quality materials] could cause a crackling. If you bought a pack of candles and noticed it with all of them, I'd argue it's the candle. If you've used these candles before and never had this happen, then I'd argue it's magickal in nature.
Magickally, a low flame and a small steady flame have two different meanings. If it appeared to be struggling to stay lit, this can indicate the timing's off or you didn't put enough energy into the spell. A small but steady flame indicates a longer timeline [so it worked, but instead of results in a month, it could take 6 months] The candle started cracking which is a sign a spirit/guide/ancestor is reaching out to you or there is something blocking you from performing the spell. The flame became large, dancing, and out of control further indicating a spiritual presence. This could have been Lilith or it could have been the person's protections getting in the way of the spell. I would ask for clarity from Lilith to see if it was her or the person's spiritual team. [just did a quick tarot shuffle for you, asking if it was Lilith and The Sun jumped out, indicating a strong yes. Still, check in with her for yourself, but it was probably her entering the room. She has a rather strong energy, and if you're not used to it, I can see why it would be overwhelming]
