The Fae are everywhere. Research the folklore of Texas and you should find The Fair Folk who live in your area natively ad how to interact with them. There would also be your common sprite-like fairys because they just travel all over, but it is more likely to find fairys that are native to that land than fairys who moved there. Research will help you figure out how to contact the specific type of fairy you would like. As for friendship with a fairy, that is highly unlikely. Even those who are kind to humans are not seeking friendship, but an exchange. Fairys who like humans are fascinated by us, like an 18th century explorer marveling at a new animal species. I have worked with, and continue to work with, many different fairys, but I would not consider a single one my friend, nor would they consider me a friend. We have a close working relationship, and that is the best anyone who works with The Fae could hope to achieve.
