First, take the ring and put it in the cup of water, then put your hand on the cup and close your eyes and imagine your ring doing what you want,then open your eyes. Then put a strand of hair in the cup,put your hand in and say:

You can enchant a ring or other object to help in your craft. You can also enchant a ring for wishes. I would change the chant since ''evil'' varies from person to person. Also, if you do ''evil'' the ring will not snap and burst into flames, that is not Real Magik but fantasy magic.

You can use herbs, oils, crystals, candles, or any other ingredients for this. Just be sure the items you use have the same energy as what you are channeling. As for the chant, you could call on a divine being if you work with one, but it is not necessary. When it comes to enchanted objects, especially wish spells, you need to program it to activate when you call on the enchantment. For that reason, I would use a simple chant. Think star light, start bright a phrase that you know by heart which you can repeat whenever. If you know a simple chant, use that. If you make up one yourself, that works too. The key is to repeat the chant and fall into a trance state where all you are focused on is feeding energy into the ring. When you are done, end the chant however you feel is best, and wear the ring to attract good fortune. When you desire to make a wish, I would spin the ring on your finger and say the chant a few times, then the wish. Sorry to double post, I forgot to answer your question. It is wise to tweak any spell to personalize it to you. If you like a chant, you can use it. Little alterations would connect the spell to you and add more energy to it. This is more important when it comes to protections, but it works for most spells. Love spells are an example, if you preform a self love spell which requires lavender, but you cannot stand lavender, find a plant you love with similar energy. Protections can be broken if another Witch knows what you cast. That is why you should add at least one extra ingredient that is personal to you.
Regarding this specific spell, it is flawed. It contains enough truth I would assume this is a first attempt by the creator. As I mentioned above, you can enchant any object, and rather simply too. However, how much this spells promises, and the whole ring snapping will not happen. Unless you have chosen to destroy the ring should you misuse it. Overall, you could use this as an outline to craft your own ring enchantment. Keep a Book of Shadows/Grimoire/journal handy to write down your observations. That way you can test the spell, reflect on your notes, and make adjustments as needed.
