For this rain spell, like many other spells, you need belief. I know, you may think this is cliche? but it is very important, believe me. All you need is a chant and a cloudy sky, you need a cloudy sky, without it it will barely work. After checking the sky and about to chant, what I do is I call upon the Aztec god of rain, Tlaltoc (Pronounced Tla-Loke), then I chant these words (make sure to visualise the storm you want while chanting. Try to do it in order. First a cloudy sky, next it becomes windy, and than comes the rain. Add or remove parts as you want): Make it rain, make it rain, make it rain The fate is sealed Make it rain, make it rain, make it rain The fate is sealed Make it rain, make it rain, make it rain The fate is sealed So mote it be __________________ Then its done. Just so you know, the first time I tried this, only a few raindrops came down. I felt the first drip on my chin. The second time I didn't ask Tlaltoc for help, and it never worked. I would advise to ask him for help. I understand if it doesn't work the first time, you might not believe, but try it again. It took me lots of tries to get it and the truth is I am still practicing it. It may only rain above you This spell was made by me. And remember: "An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"
I hope you realize that when weather spells work it isn't creating a small rain cloud in your area but moving weather patterns and effecting the planet because magick is part of nature.
Yeah. That's why the spell calls for cloudy weather. It just won't work in sunny weather since there aren't any clouds carrying rain. It could cause evaporation to quicken, but won't create clouds
You probably did the spell really well but it was delayed (i mean it takes time to make a week-long storm). Mine was a pretty average rainstorm in about 10 minutes, so yeah it works. Yay!
This spell really works. Too bad it can't work when it's sunny. All that happens is a bunch of wind in sunny weather. But I've noticed that after casting in sunny weather, the next day is all rainy and stuff. Coincidence?
Actually as someone who who practiced weather magick as the first type of magick they learned just intuitively I can say that having clouds is not a requirement because the spell is bringing those clouds by creating that change within the Universe which then manifests in the physical world by creating the environmental conditions that will bring the rain storm or what ever weather (has to be a real weather pattern) pattern the Witch is creating.

Pike, I personally think that the clouds are required. This spell is using your magick and the power of Lord Tlaltoc to burst the clouds apart for rain. Just my thoughts, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong
Maybe. Deities are called upon to bless spells and add some of their own powers to your spellwork. If you didn't have to focus on a deity, it could show that you have a much greater control of magickal power then you think
I personally say ''Aztec God of Rain, Tlaltoc. I ask that you lend your power to this magickal working''. Try asking instead of demanding. Everything should be treated with some respect, including gods and goddesses
Why not? Though perhaps, depending on the deity (which you should probably ensure holds some kind of association with water or rain), you should change the words of the spell. ''Make it rain'' sounds a bit commanding (Based on my experiences with Zeus, he left me wondering for two hours whether or not the spell worked! And based on how much I over-think, it definitely seemed like a bit of a punishment). ''I request rain to fall'' sounds much more polite.
And always remember to thank the deity.
