I use this a lot when I'm praying for a particular person or on spells that I write that occasionally require them. I usually end up using saliva since its easiest to access without doing any damage/harm to my body.
Is anyone else fond of using them as part of their prayers and spells?

It is normal to use bodily fluids in magick. But if we are refering to Wicca it is also normal, though many people restrain from talking about this. Some people have comented on their fertility offerings (their seed to put it in other words) in such rituals, and some spells.
The only time I have used any type of bodily fluid in a ritual, was in a ritual that involved the acknowledgement of feminity, where the menstrual cycle was involved; I think it made things extra special. The symbol of creation, the moon goddess. :)

Bodily fluids have been used in magic for many thousands of years. Every fluid, from urine to blood, has been used at one time or another. Can be dangerous if you don't know what you are doing!
Saliva may not be harmful, but other fluids certainly could be!

The fluids of the body are one way to connect with the person they came from. The different fluids have different uses. Urine and stool are good for marking territory, cursing with foulness, and getting rid of things. Reproductive fluids are good for fertility magic including the regenerative process of the earth during spring. A woman's blood during menstruation is good for many different things depending on the type of blood. The redder blood is good for power. When added to a spell it can increase it's effectiveness. The dead blood or dark blood is good for cursing and ending of situations. Blood in general is a connection to the life force that is within the creature it came from. In spell work it can add power to a magical working. Usually a very small amount is required to aid but sometimes you need a few more drops than others. Saliva is a fluid that can be good for cleansing and dissolving issues. Sweat is good for an offering and so are tears. If you have ever heard the phrase "blood, sweat, and tears" you understand that these fluids are powerful when used to do something. The same goes for magical uses. Vomit is good for cursing. Puss and other forms of infection fluids are also good for cursing. Oils from the skin are good for protection and earwax is used for protection and binding.
Bodily fluids in magic are used as a bonding agent. In hoodoo and folk magic menstrual blood is commonly put in a man's food or drink to keep them faithful. Urine is commonly used in a witch bottle, something used for protection against harmful magic. Of course when using bodily fluids, one must be very careful, especially if using someone else s bodily fluids. *Especially* in this day and age.
