Go around your residence in a clockwise motion and sprinkle the herbs.
Visualize a circle of protection around your house and repeat the following incantation:
''Gods of old and new
spirits of the rivers and wind
I call to you
I ask that your protection you send
Spirits of fire, spirits of Earth
Eery angel, fallen or pure
be with me and protect my hearth
my safety please assure
its rachu mantantu vaspacha ka;tamu
its ranta mant kala mant atzu belt tazu
vaskalla itz rachu kantantu velchatza
alash tad alash tal ashtu
help me avoid tragedy so mote it be.''
The above spell seemed plausible until I got to the end of the chant. I am unsure what language that is, and a quick Google search sent me down the rabbit hole of demonic language and occult sites of questionable validity. This leads me to believe this spell does not work. As for the sentiment of protecting your home from a natural disaster, you can make an herbal mix and sprinkle it around your property as you chant your intention. You can ward your home from any number of things in this manor. You can even plant specific plants around your property for specific purposes. Rosemary by your gate is a common protection tactic. This does not guarantee your home will be safe from every hardship life has to offer, but it would lower the odds. Like purchasing insurance just in case. A protection could also cause minimal damage. In the hurricane example, you might notice your roof needs some tiles, but your neighbour had a tree fall on theirs.
